I didn't think it was possible to miss the core of Spider-Man more than the exclusion of Uncle Ben, but Marvel and their globetrotting, billionaire heir, drone strike ordering Spider-Man sure proved me wrong.
Nothing of the working class superhero I grew up loving can be traced here. Marvel simply hates the idea of Spider-Man but loves that the name brings money.
Gyllenhaal is nigh on innocent and I'm still in awe of actually getting a live action Mysterio, even if this sadly is the package. The Berlin sequence is the sole highlight and briefly reminded me of the Raimi films.
