This was an experience. Like Ari Aster’s films, Egger’s films sit with you, demanding multiple viewings. 

It was poetic, brutal, gorgeous to look at, and has an Oscar-level performance from Willem Dafoe. Good god was he amazing... Pattinson was fantastic as well, of course.

So much to love here. It definitely won’t be for everyone. But thank the film gods that A24 exists to make insane little films like this happen.

I’ll be thinking about this one for a while.
