Much of the conversation surrounding The Creator, as is inevitable with any sci fi that doesn’t feel obligated to tackle its subject matter through an overtly critical lens, has revolved around whether its mode of depiction represents a ringing endorsement of its potential future.

This is anime come to life. Vivid world-building, wild plot pivots, big emotions, grand expository dumps from a cast going ALL-IN on their archetypes, etc. It may be far too weird for many, and it gets *weird*, but I wanted Ryme City and the forests around it to swallow me whole. Rob Letterman, John Mathieson, and the prod/VFX teams have created something delightful.

Man cranked out an all-in 1950s thriller/messy surreal drama and didn't tell anyone, people are gonna be so pissed ha ha ha the twist master does it again !!!
I agree with every complaint that'll get knocked around upon release (all involved are making some capital-C Choices here)...but I love this
