It’s kinda slow and goofy. And the second part is why it absolutely rocks. Imagine making Warner Brothers a cool billion with a wonderful superhero movie and then telling them you’re making a Sam Raimi Giallo. James Wan you crazy for this one. For all the pacing issues the thing cooks like a portable range in a meth lab Winnebago. Absolutely wonderful shots and compositions, and I had a demonic shit eating grin on my face the entire last half hour.
Let James Wan do whatever the fuck he wants forever.
