Overall a little thin, but it’s just so masterfully performed

I learned what gay was from this movie and for that I will always be grateful.

Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
My favorite James Cameron film to feature an extended sequence on a sinking ship. And FUCK that white bitch spider

Mistress America 2015
Feels like the only movie in the world when you’re watching it. I used to view Brooke through the lens of general millennial discontent, but I’m realizing that Brooke the individual is a woman paralyzed by immense loss, shocked into living in the moment. Can’t think about the past cause it’s painful, can’t look to the future cause it’s terrifying. I love Brooke. I’m protective of Brooke. I am Brooke. Why would I ever watch anything else?

2001: A Space Odyssey 1968
More movies should offer a suggested intermission. For some reason I can’t pin down, this particular watch was one of the most thrilling movie experiences of my life. Movies are capable of looking like this, yet we’ve decided modernity looks like a grey scale mud pile. What’s up with that?
