Part of me was worried as this was the first Scream film without Wes Craven but I also had seen Ready or Not and knew the directors of that could handle Scream and now, after seeing the film, my worries very quickly went away. This was fun, bloody and exactly how a Scream movie should be. A few predictions I had came true but there were some really, really great surprises. It honors the Scream legacy while also introducing new characters that are interesting to watch as they face down Ghostface. Wes would be proud.
(also James and Chelsea from Dead Meat on YouTube had a cameo and I was really, really happy for them and could not stop smiling for like ten minutes after they showed up).
