Wolfwalkers ★★★★

I’m not one who thinks 3D animation is somehow lesser than its predecessor, but I’d be lying if I said that 2D doesn’t evoke a type of emotion that can’t be replicated in computers. Watching those hand drawn frames spring to life in Wolfwalkers felt like looking through a story book.

I was actually surprised by how dark and profound this ended up being, seeing as I put it on to watch something fun and easy. It's definitely a heartwarming story filled with vibrant and vivid settings, but there's a lot of layers to it. Most importantly, I think it illustrates perfectly how kids bond where differences don't matter until adults say they do.
