Tyler’s review published on Letterboxd:
All Quiet on the Western Front is a brutal, bleak, realistic, and heartbreaking look at World War 1, and It’s also one of the best movies of 2022. 1917 came out just 3 years ago and I felt the influence on this. The cinematography gives off Roger Deakins vibes. It’s that good. One of the best looking and well directed movies all year. Felix Kammerer should get a best actor nomination for this. Between RRR and All Quiet on the Western Front there’s a good battle for best international feature this year. War movies always seem to hit for me and this is one of the best ones, maybe ever.
