I really wish that Cassian Andor show was a Qi’ra/Maul Crimson Dawn show instead.. Every time I watch this movie it makes me want that even more. I have rewatched Solo so many times now I’m pretty sure I’m one of Its biggest fans. Forever upset that we won’t get a sequel, but thankfully this doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.
I don’t know what everyone dislikes about this movie so much other than the fact that It’s not necessary. We didn’t NEED this movie but did we need Rogue One? I just don’t get why that’s a complaint with this movie and not that movie. Solo is the fun Star Wars adventure that we should hope every movie in this franchise should be. It gets better and better as it goes on. Tobias Beckett, Qi’ra, and Dryden Vos are more interesting than anyone in Rogue One. Add Han, Chewie, and Lando to them and you get a collection of many great characters all in one. Dryden’s Yacht is one of the coolest things in all of Star Wars. I find myself saying that a lot whenever I watch Solo. There’s so much to love.
The “how Han got his name” scene is still incredibly stupid and I will never like that. I have no idea why they thought that was a good idea. Since the movie does get better as it goes on I think the first act is a little weak. Not bad but not great. All these viewings later I don’t have much that I dislike.
Solo: A Star Wars Story deserved better. I will say it forever. I can’t get enough of this movie. You see how high my grade and rating is and It’s still #8 on my Star Wars ranking. That’s how much I love this franchise.
