2016 FAV

ONE OF THE BEST YEARS IN MOVIES IN RECENT MEMORY 2016 CAME WITH A BRILLIANT FEATURE FILM DEBUT BY JULIA DOCOURNAU, RAW, IT WAS FANTASTIC I CAN TALK ABOUT IT ENDLESSLY BUT I AM SAVING MY THOUGHTS FOR HER NEXT FILM WHEN I’LL BE ABLE TO FINALLY FIGURE OUT HER GENERAL STYLE, OF WHICH I HAVE THE FAINTEST OF IDEA AS OF YET, BUT ITS FASCINATING NONETHELESS, IT WAS ALSO THE YEAR WHICH CAME WITH MY FAVOURITE SCORSESE OF ALL TIME SILENCE, QUITE UNEXPECTEDLY I WOULD SAY GIVEN WHAT THE MAN HAS ALREADY MADE. IT WAS THE RISE OF BARRY JENKINS AS A GREAT SENSUAL AND INTIMATE FILMMAKER, ALSO WE SAW PARK-CHAN-WOOK AND JIM JARMUSCH RETURN FOR BLESSING US WITH THEIR EXCEPTIONAL FILMS THE HANDMAIDEN AND PATERSON RESPECTIVELY.
