The last film in a wonderful trilogy. A film that deconstructs the first two as romantic naiveté. Yes, love is romance, and attraction, and the excitement of discovery. But it's also work. If some of the fighting here is a bit vitriolic on Celine's side, and if they don't quite seem as comfortable together as a couple nine-years-in should, it doesn't detract for me from my ultimate takeaway - that being in love is easy, and staying in love is hard, and real love takes work and communication, and listening. And hope comes when both are willing to reach out and try.
