I don’t know man, I don’t get it?? I waited the entire time for something to happen but it turned out to be entirely about watching these characters and learning about their little quirks. But I wanted them to the DO something with that?????
Basically, Leo is an actor who is really well known for his Cowboy movies and Brad Pitt is his stunt double. Brad is also Leo’s “friend” but kind of still works for him fixing stuff around his house and chauffeuring him around.
Then, completely separate from that: Blondie is an actress. That’s about it. She watches her own movies in the theater and gets a kick out of the audience laughing because of her. Her husband is a guy in the movie scene, we just know he’s pretentious.
Then, separate from that (besides Brad Pitt semi-noticing and engaging with one Brunette young-cutie) there’s a group of hippies that we just see hangout/take over an old abandoned film set. A few of them get tired of “the man” and try to kill Leo, his new Italian wife and Brad towards the end of the movie, but Brad is a sick stunt double and fucking murders them. And Leo gets one too because he kept his flame thrower prop from one of his movies. It ends with Blondie and her husband checking in on Leo being like “wtf was all that ruckus???” And Leo goes “some hippies tried to kill me???” And then they’re like “oh shit. Glad u good! We love your work, do you wanna come have a drink?” And that’s it.
My star rating is honestly for Leo and Brad’s performance, they did great
