This was surprisingly wholesome

She’s been through some crazy shit. Damn

Wasn’t a slasher but damn did Cassie slash through EVERY SINGLE VICTIM BLAMING AND SHAMING EXCUSE EVER 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼  Really relieved to see them handle the topics surrounding rape and assault in the right way, especially with them emphasizing that instead of teaching woman “don’t get raped” we should be teaching men “don’t rape.” The victim blaming can only end when we start to shift our rhetoric and therefore shift the responsibility. 

Also what a killer monologue from Carey Mulligan towards the end. Such a powerful, deserved crescendo that solidified her performance. Put simply: this movie successfully accomplished what it was trying to do.

Minari is a resilient Korean herb that can grow wherever it is planted. Much like the title suggests, this happens in the movie. Beautiful soundtrack, definitely the most descriptive and poignant element of the film

Exactly what you’d expect based off the trailer plus a well deserved ending. Also why is Mad Mikkelsen so weirdly hot
