    Suspiria meets Office Space. Like the former, it has a lush atmosphere drenched in dread. Like the latter, it says something interesting about the importance we place on mundane bullshit, which is evident in the two Bobs' concerns about handshakes and bathroom breaks as well as the dress shop managers' deadly serious takes on retail.

    Yes, I've seen this three times now. I'm bumping it up half a star based on rewatchability and how long it's been burning in my brain. Its intoxicating sense of dread and intensely intimate moments kept me coming back. I can't stop thinking about Joker waiting in a dressing room, gently giggling as fearful tears well up in his eyes.     Screw it, I'm giving it five stars. This is one of the best movies of the year and one of the best of Steven Spielberg's career. It's a film we all need right now. A tale of courage amid corruption, bravery in breaking down barriers and the importance of holding people accountable — even those in the highest positions of power.

    For a while, this is a charming high-concept comedy, but it bungles the Beatles theme that "all you need is love." Like many male-written romances, the film embraces the bullshit idea of the friend zone, portraying the lead characters' platonic relationship as some kind of purgatory they have to trudge through before one of them sweeps the other off their feet.
