    beautiful, consuming, gentle, and unfolds in perfect kore-eda fashion. there’s a lot i could say but for now i will leave it to fill me emotionally; words will come later.

    i will say though, do yourself a favor and go into this film completely oblivious to the plot. don’t even read a synopsis if you can avoid it. i promise the initial confusion of knowing nothing prior to watching will rewardingly resolve itself.

    incredibly cathartic. infinite life in infinite death makes dying both less and more terrifying
