Wow so this is the only film I’ve watched in May! To say this month has been crazy would be an understatement. Turns out working on movies leaves no time to actually watch them! Let’s hope the pace slows and I can watch more in June.
Anywho this was my first rewatch of Insidious since I was a teen, and whilst it definitely has aged, the spookiness remains.
With a title card like THAT you just know the movies gonna go hard. Nothing like a chill Sunday evening with a good book (of the dead) and glass of red (6,500 Litres of blood)
Suffering is having to sit through what feels like 5 hours of spoon-fed, whiny, pretentious monologues. That is a slow, painful death.
I have come to realise that The Haunting of Hill House is the only truely great Flanagan project.
Me going to the cinema on my own volition to watch a Marvel movie?? Impossible… but true. I blame Florence Pugh for sucking me in. This was a genuinely good time!
