I enjoy making lists and viewing movies on a regular basis. I adore this website and the individuals who frequent it!
Filmmaker Stanley Kubrick creates a deeply unsettling, multi-layered drama on the Vietnam War that is at once funny and sarcastic and brutally violent and dehumanising. Although every member of the group gives great performances, Lee Ermey's scary performance as Sergeant Hartman earns top accolades.
The plot is extremely well-known, including the awkward 20-minute buildup prior to Black Adam's introduction. Dwayne Johnson faces off against this army in the first big action scene, which is fantastic. Pierce Brosnan is excellent in the part because he successfully conveys all sides of a very dynamic character. The film is entertaining enough, and I can see it being even more entertaining on a 2nd viewing. The human protagonists' search for this artifact at the outset and their subplot surrounding it are significantly less compelling.
The 2nd movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, vastly improves the 1st. The post-T'challa world that Ryan Coogler conjures is both fascinating and tragic. The story being described here has a wonderful level of depth. The former supporting cast members now play a larger part, with Shuri taking center stage. Each character in Wakanda gives their all in this movie about loss and the wrath that results from it.
This film has the ability to rank among the top 5 MCU…
