Kevin Greenwood’s review published on Letterboxd:
I wasn’t certain this was my thing after the first half hour, but then it comes into its own as both an original and homage to other meditations like Beau Travail.
I like it when film explores ideas of gender and sexuality via the tools of the medium rather than lazy political screenwriting.
I like it when film aims for your gut.
It’s a unique piece from this year, for sure. I wish I had seen it on a big sound system. Great soundtrack and sound effects.
Bold performances. Surprising and refreshing story.
I’m still stoned.
