(It’d still be pretty bad. Between all the things that was pretty bad or mediocre in this, the characterization was the worst. The director had seven hours and couldn’t show us a process which he could have easily shown in two hours. From the first episode everything is so shallow. This film is about everything: life, death, family, growing up, communication, loneliness, details of everyday life etc but more than anything it’s about the roots of trees being connected.
It’s also about unexpressed love, expressed love and expressing love.
