    The only way this would have made sense was for her to take a gun out of her pocket and kill him in the last scene where they see each other in Venice. 
    Blume is a cheater, a rapist and a bullshit man being represented as a romantic figure “in love”, oh my, I couldn’t be more frustrated.

    (It’d still be pretty bad. Between all the things that was pretty bad or mediocre in this, the characterization was the worst.
