Sarah’s review published on Letterboxd:
While I found the political themes confusing and overdone at times, the visceral body gore, great acting, gothic themes, themes of art, themes of national PTSD, and an interesting aesthetic forced me to love it.
I was worried about the run time but the pacing was pretty good until the last half. It was slightly fractured at that point but it wasnt enough to ruin the film for me. In fact I think the last act is the best part. It is well worth the wait.
The story is strong. The characters are sympathetic and overall interesting.
My favorite aspect was the connection with the body horror and the dancing. It was a very smart addition to connect the major aspects.
