Chance Hall’s review published on Letterboxd:
It's always exciting when a new Star Wars film is released. For me, Star Wars has always been about two things - 1) the classic battle of good vs. evil and 2) fun. At its worst, the universe is top-notch escapism, and at its best, positive philosophical reinforcement. My opinions of the films aren't clouded by childhood nostalgia or fanboy obsessions - I just really enjoy the universe. With that being said, I went into The Last Jedi with no expectations whatsoever and left the theatre feeling like a little kid again. I loved the cast. I loved asshole Luke. I loved how Rian Johnson subverted so many expectations. I even loved the corny humor. Really, I just love these characters and where the story is going in general. May the force be with us all. Also, you better believe that I'm gonna put a drop of green food-dye in my milk and make some Jedi Juice™
