Peter Schubert’s review published on Letterboxd:
Only two years between The Adventure of André and Wally B. and Pixar's first effort under their new name and already a huge step up in the animation department. The movements and textures look remarkably smoother and light of the lamps is put to great use and looks impressive.
Story-wise there isn't much to be said, even though it is fun to watch the two lamps play with the ball. Who knew that an inanimate obect like a little desk lamp could be so cute? Pixar definitely made the right choice in making Luxo their company mascot.
