The magnificence of Everything Everywhere All at Once is a testament to the fact that you can take a fantastical concept such as the Multiverse and use it to tell a clever, funny and wholly original story. Bullet Train is a chaotic John Wick with the intricate character motivations and plot of Knives Out and the humour of a Guy Ritchie movie, all held together by an extremely charming performance from Brad Pitt. Throw in some top notch David Leitch fight scenes and some decent cinematography and production design and you've got a pretty damn enjoyable action flick.

Somehow Zoey Deutch, one of the most charming actresses around, manages to play the most 'unlikeable female protagonist' and still make it compelling. Not Okay's screenplay doesn't always nail the satire in terms of dialogue, but the story is refreshingly straightforward while effectively getting its point across. The idea of someone pretending to be the victim of a tragedy for online clout is extremely relevant and this film manages to put its finger on an element of social media that is rarely explored. Not a masterpiece, but clever and funny all the same.

Aside from director Chloé Zhao's masterful camerawork, the reason that Nomadland is so amazing is that it's honest, intimate and transparent. When you watch this film, it feels like you are watching events from somebody's life - Frances McDormand's disappearance into her role also helps with this feeling. I feel pretentious using the word 'kino', but this film is what you call kino.
Also Chloé Zhao is making a Marvel movie and I am beyond excited.
