Happy Fourth of July, the United States was founded on unspeakable acts of genocidal violence (young, scrappy, and hungry for Native American souls), and maybe romanticizing the perpetrators of those acts and recasting them as people of color (except the protagonist, of course—Hamilton can’t be a Black guy, no way, he’s the important one) isn’t as empowering as you think. Hamilton is the "more 👏 Black 👏 ICE 👏 agents" of cultural race theory.
