First time when I saw in during 2017 London Film Festival with the cast and crew presenting it,alone upon seeing I was flabbergasted,I remember it left me so exposed and trembling,it touched such a visceral vulnerable nerve within me,a film that is so deeply personal to me in how it captured that young unknowing sense of insecurity and fear of ones own emotions,Sec time I saw it with my sis I felt less lonesome as there were someone there who I know will accept me whichever to relate to it with me,today a third time I thought I was ready but Luca Guadagnino still pierced thro me,today it feels less like I’m reacting to it but rather I’m viewing a time piece,a totem of lost love and heartbreak marked buried deep inside someone’s heart,a scar that will never recover bound for someone to carry that for life.The mix of naturalist style and experimental editing and color grading is what makes me love Luca so much,him making three of my fav masterpieces of all time CMBYN,A Bigger Splash and Suspiria is one my fav filmmaker up there with Lynch and Sciamma.❤️
