Film #26 of my 2024 - Clearing Out My DVD Case Initiative.

It's another really slick and well-made Guy Ritchie joint. It does have a rather unfortunate title however (...see what I did there?...)

Don't know what Guy was thinking about with that stinker of a name. But the movie itself is a lot of fun. Has some great action, especially from our boy Jason Statham. Dude kicks superior ass.

One of the best performances is given by Hugh…

Kind of a Hallmark-like Christmas movie that's a bit heavy on the religious undertone.

The lead actor Josh Katawick is pretty good... although he plays twins and one of them has the worst beard ever committed to film.

I don't have much else to say about this picture because it seems well-intentioned, but it's obviously not very well made.

Just imagine a very low-budget, Christmas, Catholic version of "Brewster's Millions".

(This is another movie that I watched because a friend was in it.
So, I'm taking it easy on this one right now.)

Well, this movie gets 100 stars out of 10 for best intentions.
It is, in fact, the best intended movie of the year... or of our lifetime.

I've heard some people talk as if this movie's subject matter was a political issue... which is astoundingly wrong... couldn't be further from the truth. It's a HUMANITARIAN issue. It affects millions upon millions of people. No joke: millions. So damn sad and beyond infuriating.

More people are enslaved now than ever before…

This film is why I'm always a bit freaked out when I'm having "tubby time" and have to dip my head (or ears) beneath the water. I go into a desperate state of fear that I will come back up transformed into an extra from the "Planet of the Apes" films.

    Thanks, Ken Russell.

    Hard to believe…
