    Simply gorgeous-looking.
    A beautifully shot film through and through.

    And it's deadly freakin' boring.
    Achingly so.

    I had heard such good things about this film... but it's only based on how meditative it is (to the point of putting most people asleep, I'm guessing). It IS certainly beautiful.

    But there's not much else in this one for me.
    So there it is.

    Haven't seen this movie in so long. Hell, I can't even remember when.

    Fun seeing these actors when they were young and upcoming.

    Apparently, Tom Cruise was on the set one day and suited up as a soldier that gets shot. Nice hidden cameo.

    It's a solid western that is good, not great. Lots of fun to be had in this retelling of BILLY THE KID and his "Regulators".

    ...um... yee-haw?

    This film is why I'm always a bit freaked out when I'm having "tubby time" and have to dip my head (or ears) beneath the water. I go into a desperate state of fear that I will come back up transformed into an extra from the "Planet of the Apes" films.

    Thanks, Ken Russell.

    Hard to believe…

    Kicking off HOOPTOBER with a little KING KONG KAIJU action!

    Instead of a traditional "review"... here are some notes I took:

    * This is a Rankin/Bass Production!!! WHAT?!? Yep. The people who brought you Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Claus and Burl Ives as a folk-singing Snowman... bring you: KING KONG ESCAPES!!

    * This is Rated G!!??!! Sure there's…
