Sean O’Hare’s review published on Letterboxd:
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I hate how much I hyped up this movie. Netflix is like 0/A billion now. A long movie of building up tension and awkwardness and uncomfortable atmosphere all for nothing. Only redeeming characteristic of this was the performances, because this felt like it was shot and edited by a 12 year old. A director who clearly is so full of himself with a theme that he has driven so hard into the ground managed to completely botch a great book just to feed into his own ego. Fuck off.
Edit: Few days later, have not stopped thinking about how awful of a movie this is. Lowering it down to half a star. Kaufman has some set of balls to take a dig at another director while directing this piece of shit. Kaufman is a loser and this movie sucks.
