    Just staring into this world Robert Eggers created is enough of an accomplishment in itself before even mentioning anything narratively. The Witch is richly designed and incredibly dark in its themes I was astounded at the craft here on a debut outing.

    Watching the majority of Ari Aster's short films the message is loud and clear. He's one extremely talented filmmaker and provocateur. Making a name for himself whilst making you tread hard in your thoughts at whatever narrative and visuals he puts in front of you. Whether he wants to be the next Haneke or not, this short film of 30 mins is worth your time for many reasons. It's vulgar and disgusting but somehow super compelling. Give it a few days to shake this one off.
