This came on tv after the cricket and i just left it on while I worked on my Friday the 13th jigsaw puzzle. And i kept getting distracted from brainless and careless attempt at a comedy that never lands.
Not sure I've ever seen anything as defiantly lazy as Grown Ups 2. And i didn't finsh my puzzle , which just adds insult to injury.
I was onboard with the genuine and heartfelt exploration of male friendship at the start, but then the tragic turn happens and it devulges into something like a parody of a European Arthouse film the way it wallows in its own misery. Never before have I seen so many soap opera-esque single tears rolling down cheeks in a film to the point where it was becoming comical.
At least it's better than Dhont's last film, but that isn't really saying much for the dull drama that ends with a crass and graphic scene of exploitation that was Girl.

In case you didn't think that Sia made this misguided and embarrassingly offensive film to make her feel better about herself and massage her oversize ego and saviour complex, she literally plays herself in a cameo where she buys percocets and other painkillers off Kate Hudson's drug dealer character to help out earthquake victims in Haiti.
Honestly one of the worst films I've seen in a long time.
