I don’t get why so many people are fussing about a slasher movie where people in a town are trying to kill something evil that scarred the town.
Yes, it’s not as good as its predecessor. And yes, it runs about 15 minutes too long thanks to a dumb subplot involving another escaped patient. But you can’t tell me the scenes with Michael Myers don’t rule.
I don’t know what else people expect from a slasher movie, but I can’t wait for the arrival of HALLOWEEN ENDS. David Gordon Green and Blumhouse have done a good job reviving this franchise.
I didn’t believe it until I saw it tonight, but the Oscar buzz on A Star is Born is real. Bradley Cooper has made one of the best directorial debuts in recent memory. The music (which will be stuck in my head for weeks) weaves in and out of this personally-told story, but never loses a beat when the volume is cranked. From top to bottom the music is flat-out sensational. Cooper is just as good in front of the camera…
