Caleb Boatman’s review published on Letterboxd:
Out of the 8 Best Picture Nominees, this was the one I was looking the least forward to. I expected something either boring or exploitative, but this was far from either. As someone who frequently works with individuals affected by dementia, this film feels incredibly accurate. Down to specific mannerisms and questions. So much of that credit goes to Hopkins, who plays every single range of emotion with such humanity that the film would truly not be as amazing without the complexity of his performance.
