My earliest political memory is marching against the Iraq war, and my dad had the Daily Mirror front page that was made of oil company names laminated and stuck it up in our toilet. This is a really gripping and well made movie, the cast is amazing and I wish Katharine Gun had been successful in her quest to stop an illegal war which caused so much misery. On a completely shallow note, the dude playing her husband was so hot lol

The Aristocats 1970
Watched this with the kids I nanny. The baby got a cuddly toy cat for Christmas and watched the whole movie with it cuddled in her arms: she absolutely loved it, and it is so sick to watch a kid watch a movie that’s going to be one of their lifelong favourites for the first time.

The Rescuers 1977
Watched this with the kids I nanny. The bigger one loved it, the younger one was greatly concerned about Penny and very upset although she only voiced this after the movie finished. A lot darker than I remembered - my favourite Disney movie when I was a kid! The songs are so haunting. Bernard and Bianca one of the all time great movie romances, just my opinion!

Robin Hood 1973
Watched this with the kids I nanny for. They were mostly uninterested but I loved it!

Me and Asha watched this when it first came out at like eleven o’clock at night at the cinema in the 02, showed it to Katy today and was like, is it as good as I remember? It’s actually better! Shout out to Riley Keough!
