  Nolan really isn't beating the Bush supporter allegations lol.

  There's a scene Lucius where debates Batman on the ethics of mass surveillance to stop terrorists. Lucius is against it, but Batman really needs to use it Just This Once to stop Joker. Thankfully, at the end, after Joker is caught, Lucius destroys the surveillance machine so that it can't be exploited now that its purpose has been fulfilled. Just like in real life!

  My favorite part of this is how it inverted The Last Crusade's dynamic. Now Indy is the largely deadbeat father trying to reconnect with his son (at one point even uttering "this is intolerable"), but it doesn't feel like fanservice or a gimmick. This is partially because it isn't revealed until halfway through that Mutt is his son. And when it is revealed, I thought "huh, that makes sense".
