I liked the first two in this series because they latched onto the fun and value of each year. The first one had its tribute to the Scream films and the second played off the slasher movies of the late 70’s and 80’s. But this thing with the first part being an overlong origin tale set back in the 1600’s really sucked the life out of the others. Even the second half, while shifting back to almost present felt like mostly tying up loose strings. Definitely disappointing.
This had me right from the beginning.
Beautifully photographed using great locations. The performances whether they were real actors or not seemed perfect to me. The music was so intricate to it. At times I wondered if I should mute it and then I realized how emotional it was to it.
See you down the road, Swankie!!
