VIFF 2021 #3 — Featuring a Q&A with director Thyrone Tommy and star Thomas Antony Olajide.
I think I love this film a LOT more than other people on this app. Learn to Swim worked really well for me! I thought the music and cinematography were incredible. The beauty in the cinemagraphy is also largely due to the beautiful lighting design. I liked linear ebbs and flows of the narrative structure. The film feels reminiscent of a jazz piece. It may seem chaotic and scatterbrained to some, but to others it reads so clear and cohesive. Liked it a lot!
