A little better on what I think is my third viewing, but it's still hard to understand exactly what Hitchcock was going for here.
To Catch a Thief just seems so comparatively low stakes when you take into consideration the films he made before and after it. I said this in previous review but I can't shake the feeling that Hitchcock just wanted to top up his tan and stage his own mini Met Gala.
I did appreciate the performances and humour a bit more this time round though, and Cary Grant dropping his casino chip down a woman's cleavage suggests that Hitchcock would have given us a great Carry On film if he had ever given one a go.
