Emma.

Emma. ★★★★

An absolute joy to watch.

Not only was it better than I thought it was going to be (and I already thought it was going to be good), it locked on to an emotional craving I've been wanting in rom-coms for some time.

Everybody was great. Like, there wasn't a character I didn't think was likable or charming or funny by the end of the film, even if they were considered the nasty ones. Mia Goth was especially surprisingly good, playing against type, as an adorkable romantic.

Right when the film feels like it's getting too long, it throws many more dilemmas to keep us on the edge of our seats. Never boring and always cheeky, there's a lovely re-watchability to it.

There's also two of the most rewarding on-screen kisses I've seen in a while. I don't know. I liked this film a lot. Watch it when you can.
