    This movie was so fun...until it suddenly wasn't.

    There's so much good here. The camera work to make it seem like everything is from the point of view of a kid is brilliant. The acting was great - Dafoe especially, but he's just killing every single thing he's in now. The kids were enjoyable to watch run around and cause trouble, but mostly in an endearing way.
