I really like the ideas at play here. The Western, High Fantasy, and Noir settings are all really cool playgrounds for these characters. I just wish the animation and the dialogue were up for the task. The action looks good in parts, but overall the character models look really stock like flash-animation.

Still giving it a like for the moments in the beginning that I liked before we got to the third act. It was really hard not to be easily distracted at that point.

I wish I liked it, but this was truly dreadful. Would have been a half-star if not for Gwyneth’s performance.

Not as charming or cohesive as the first movie, but there’s still enough fun to be had to make it worth the price of admission. It starts off with almost every character from the previous movie underserved, but then it remembers what made this franchise fun in the first place during the last act. Ultimately, I think it has more problems than it has strengths, but I had a good enough time with Meg 2.

Just love when one of my favorite characters dies off-screen in the first 20 minutes. LOVE IT!

My friends, if you are a fan of dark anime, body-horror, or bittersweet endings, you’ll be eating good with Guardians 3. I am shocked that they let Gunn push this PG-13 rating as far as it would possibly go (seriously, this thing is like what if Guardians, but also Battle Angel Alita with disturbing animal/human cyborgs).

It’s overstuffed to the gills, but I admire the film for its commitment to being bold. It pulls no punches, and sends these characters off in a way that feels honest and uncompromising.

This is probably going to piss a lot of parents off tho lol.
