maggie’s review published on Letterboxd:
How do you explain My Own Private Idaho?
It’s about a gay, narcoleptic prostitute and the runaway rich kid he’s in love with, as they track down his lost parents? It sounds depressing, “dark”. How can you ever capture the pure hope and hopelessness waring onscreen in every frame: the fullness overflowing, yet overflowing with such emptiness and melancholy in a word or paragraph?
Whatever. Have a nice day.
