Scavenger Hunt 54
Movie 14/30
Task 5: Watch a movie where the protagonist had a bad relationship with their father.
The perfect word to describe this movie is: illogical. The plot made little sense, with a non-linear story that feels like it's being smarter than it actually is. The characters make silly decisions that I don't think they would make. The acting is all over the place, with most of it leaning to the bad side. The young and grown up main character (I can't even remember his name) feel like two different characters. The accents are not great, and pretty laughable. There was one point where a character screams in heartbreak, but it comes off as so painfully bad I was nearly laughing at what was supposed to be a sad scene. The movie felt way too long, with some storylines feeling useless or just way too long. I feel like a majority of the Nevada storyline could have been cut, because it didn't really add much to the movie. I guess the soundtrack was pretty neat and it was shot well, as to be expected by Roger Deakins. I won't be watching this again.
