What I enjoyed most about this movie is that it didn't emphasize that our feelings or experiences need to be bottled up or furnished neatly with a little bow on top for love to be accessible and present. The human experience is messy and at times, all-consuming.

I wish I could rewatch it again for the first time, just to be swept away by the beauty of the storytelling and the humanity each cast member brought to their respective roles. this movie does not shy away from effectively using silence and environment to get its point across. fantastic acting performances from the cast across the board. the script and direction draw out the painful nuances and intimate moments, especially from anna kendrick and wunmi mosaku.
