Minari is a story that is long overdue on the big screen. On a personal level, this movie hit close to home, I have Asian parents who came to a Western country for a better life. There are a handful of moments that I can identify with. It's beautiful and bittersweet to see this on the bigger screen.
The highlight of this movie is for me, the ensemble cast. This is one of my favorite ensembles of the year. The performances are top tier with Steven Yeun giving the standout performance.
The only problem I had is the pacing. At times I felt as if I missed out on a few things. But overall, it's a beautiful movie and dreamy movie which is all due to the score and cinematography.
