What a movie. It's a reminder of how beautiful this place called earth can be when we look for it . Most of us have been living under lockdown, are used to the smell of our bedroom and have only seen as much as the backyard of our house. This movie reminds us that there's so much out there, I haven't been out of my house as much as I'm used to but the power of Chloé Zhao's directing, felt as if I was breathing a fresh of air that I was missing all this year.
This movie is beautiful, it is raw and authentic. Frances McDormand is beautiful in this movie, she embodies everything this movie wants to transcend to its audience. The cinematography and score are the best I've experienced all year (so far). Actually, while I'm writing this, I'm listening to the beautiful music the movie has given us. The score is beautiful and moving, it has brought me on the verge of tears on multiple moments.
This is the first time this year that I've seen a movie and realised how unfortunate it is to not being able to see it on a bigger screen. Nomadland deserves the bigger screen, and hopefully we can all go to theatres one day and enjoy this beautiful movie once again. But as long as we can't, I'll be holding this movie very close to my heart.
