Sienna D’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is the only movie that I have ever gone to the cinema to see multiple times. Thrice, to be specific, and have watched it many times on Blu-Ray since as the film is an absolute joy to watch. It's Wes Anderson's most "Wes Anderson-y" effort to date and I love him more and more, as he becomes increasingly comfortable and ambitious in his own style.
Ralph Fiennes is brilliant as M. Gustave, an actor that irrationally I have never really enjoyed before, he brought out all of the complexities of the character flawlessly and with wonderful humour.
This is a film that really "wowed" me, not only on the first viewing but also every time I have seen it since. Hands down my favourite movie of the year and it's really up there with the "all timers".
