the seasick scene alone makes this the horror movie of the year. it triggered memories of a 12 year old me being stuck on a school bus trying my absolute hardest to press down my ears, meanwhile a bunch of kids started gagging one after another because of a chain reaction to puking. IT ALWAYS ONLY TAKES ONE KID. ONE. but the thing is, you can’t stop it, it catches on. we end up unconsciously mirroring the human conditions on our instincts. 

and i can’t forget about that smell. putrid and rancid, much like the cruise guests trapped on a turbulent mobile cesspool. very nicely done!
