What a fucking knockout of a debut! Only realised once I started that I've seen Jusu's short Suicide by Sunlight, another absolute banger. Why don't more movies try to look this good? I'm so glad Anna Diop is thriving and doing incredible work after everything shitty DC fans put her through; one of the best performances of the decade right here! I found the ending jarring at first but even a couple minutes later it works for me.
