The 3D effects in this movie are truly embarrassing, and its even worse when you watch this in 2D. Yo-Yos, apples, oranges, pitchfork handles and more all "pop" out at the screen. Yet, when you get past that, and another stupid retelling of the end of the second film, you get one of the best films in the F13 franchise.
The Awesome: Death by fire poker. Ugh, that's awful. Wait, a character dies as the result of a Spear Gun? That's even worse. The biker gang segments are hilarious. Seriously, I want to carry a long chain around my neck now. Well, that's what happens when you go poking around a barn with a demented back-woods man-child inside. Repetitive dream sequences and jump-scares FTW. Also, the bunny at the beginning is really adorable. I can't believe the lady called him/her a disgusting animal.
The Terrible: As mentioned above, the opening is repetitive and boring, especially since I watched them back to back. Plus, the 3D effects are cringe worthy in either 3D or 2D.
Overall, Friday The 13th Part 3 is awesome, and its the debut of the iconic hockey mask. That's right folks, this film is the grand showcase of the goalie-slasher icon that we all know and love.
