Still stunning. Pretty much nonstop tears throughout the third act, which is one vicious emotional attack after another. The sequencing is seemingly built to ruin me. Kudos to Jennifer Lame's best-of-the-year editing, which rarely allows for any time to breathe between gut-punches or humorous bits, and often lingers on moments that forgo sentiment for traumatic longing.
Laura Dern vs. Ray Liotta in the courtroom is so good, it could be a fight on pay-per-view.
