Dog Day Afternoon

Dog Day Afternoon ★★★★★

If somebody ever ask me what for me defines a favorite film I'll reply "Dog Day Afternoon". It has elements of everything I love about cinema. Sidney Lumet directed this film to what seems as perfection and made movie history with sequences like "Attica! Attica!" and honestly also "Wyoming?" John Cazale reportedly ad-libbed that part and Lumet laughed so hard that he thought he had ruined the take, but fortunately not. Al Pacino delieveries the best performance of the film though. I'd describe Calaze as outstanding and Charles Durning as splendid, but Al immortalize this film with his sweaty face and confident persona.
